Now, onto the music.
The first band that CyberBob will be mentioning here, is Garbage. The song you have just heard a sound bite from, is off Garbage's first album, with the song being called Stupid Girl. CyberBob had never heard a Garbage song before, and then one day, he was watching Channel V on Austar (an Australian Pay TV provider), and saw I Think I'm Paranoid. Somehow, that song pulled CyberBob in, and now he is one of the biggest Garbage fans around. CyberBob has even developed a web page dedicated just to Garbage, which you can access from the link above.
The second band that CyberBob will be mentioning here, is The Spice Girls. Yes, yes, CyberBob knows...The Spice Girls??? Well, to cut a long story short, CyberBob got interested in The Spice Girls, after two of their songs, Wannabe, and Who Do You Think You Are, were being played almost every time CyberBob went to a nightclub in 1997 or 1998...and CyberBob guesses that the songs, and ultimately the band, just grew on him.
The third band that CyberBob will be mentioning here, is Queen. If you have read through any of the other pages, or you know CyberBob personally, you will know he likes professional wrestling. A couple of Queen songs used to be used by wrestlers as their entrance themes, but CyberBob never really got into Queen until their 1989 hit, I Want It All. After that, CyberBob's interest in Queen grew to the stage that he has tried to buy a copy of every full Queen album, as well as a couple of special albums involving either Freddie Mercury, or the rest of the band. And you can add to that, a few Queen videos as well.
The next band that CyberBob will inform you about is Aqua. Aqua made it really big a few years ago with their song Barbie Girl, which many thought was a send up of the Barbie Girl dolls, but the band states that it was more of a social comment on something. Every time that a new Aqua album comes out, CyberBob is one of the first to go and buy it.
The fifth band that will be getting a mention here, is no longer together, and have not been together for a few years ago. CyberBob is referring to the Australian band, Crowded House. CyberBob grew addicted to Crowded House through their song, Better be Home Soon, and was fascinated by the flying chairs in the film clip. CyberBob also likes several other Crowded House songs, but his favourite is, and always will be, Better Be Home Soon.
The Corrs is yet another band that CyberBob has a strong interest in. CyberBob has been racking his brain, trying to remember where his interest in The Corrs started, and the only place he can link it to, is hearing them on the radio, again and again, until he liked them...and CyberBob is fortunate that his darling Pamla also likes The Corrs as well.
There are also a few solo artists that CyberBob enjoys listening to, that are listed below.
The first of the solo artists that CyberBob will be mentioning is Kylie Minogue. CyberBob has been following Kylie Minogue for years, ever since she released he first single, Locomotion. And ever since then, CyberBob has been willing to listen to anything Kylie Minogue puts out, ranging from her duet with Jason Donovan, to her Better The Devil You Know days, through to Some Kind Of Bliss, and her current singles.
The second of the solo artists that CyberBob will be mentioning here, is John Lennon. Yes, CyberBob does know that John Lennon was a member of The Beatles, but CyberBob's favourite John Lennon songs, are those that he performed as a solo artist. Songs ranging from Imagine, to Watching The Wheels, and Instant Karma, which was once used for a Nike advertising campaign.
The third solo artist that CyberBob will be mentioning, is Gina Jeffries. CyberBob first got interested in Gina Jeffries after listening to her single, Didn't We Shine, a number of times on the radio. From there, CyberBob started hearing other Gina Jeffries songs on the radio, and his interest just grew, to the stage that he has actually bought several copies of the one album of Gina Jeffries, just so if one copy gets ruined through over-play, he still has a copy to listen to.
There are other bands, and solo artists, that CyberBob has not mentioned here. But, CyberBob still does like them, and they include the following:
And many more bands and artists, which CyberBob has failed to mention.
