The Sporting Channel

Thank you for tuning in to The Sporting Channel. On The Sporting Channel, you will see many of your favourite sports being telecast, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You may be surprised by some of the sports that are being shown, but that is mainly because of contractual obligations, or CyberBob just wanted to include them. So now, CyberBob will go through the main sports that he has included on The Sporting Channel.

Rugby League is a sport that CyberBob has followed for almost his entire life. It is not a sport that you can find in a lot of countries...in fact, the three major Rugby League playing nations are Australia, England, and New Zealand. But followers of Rugby League, follow it with a passion that is hard to find in any other sport. The above link takes you to the NRL Home Page, the NRL being the major national rugby league competition in Australia. The link that you can find below, will take you the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs web page, the rugby league team that CyberBob has always followed.

Cricket is another sport that CyberBob likes to watch on television...mainly one day games however. Test matches, in CyberBob's opinion, can often be drawn out and boring...but he enjoys watching Test matches when there is exciting action happening. CyberBob would have included a link to a web page about cricket, but he does not know of any. But if anyone wants to pass him a link to one, then go right ahead.

Nearly everyone in the world would have heard of the English soccer team called Manchester United, arguably the greatest soccer team in all the world. CyberBob's father enjoys watching soccer, and particularly enjoys watching Manchester United. It is through his father, that CyberBob gained his interest in soccer.

Last, but certainly not least, CyberBob is going to mention wrestling. No, not the Olympics, no, not Greco-Roman...CyberBob is referring to professional wrestling. CyberBob has followed professional wrestling, or more importantly, the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) since the early 1980's...so for pretty much all of his life. Yes, CyberBob does know that it is fake, but he still enjoys watching it.

There are other sports that CyberBob likes to watch, such as Gridiron, swimming, Triathlons, Surf Lifesaving, baseball, field hockey (which CyberBob used to play), basketball, and netball...but these were not good enough to make it to the top four.
